Ten commitments. In writing, in the open.
The advance industry earned its reputation. We built Lombard by removing the specific mechanics that earned it — and putting the removals in writing where you can hold us to them.
- 01
Repaid only from your card settlement
Your advance is repaid only from your card settlement. We never debit your bank account to collect it. There is no account to drain and no bounced payment to charge a fee on.
- 02
Remittance shrinks when sales shrink
You remit a percentage of each day's card settlement. A slow week automatically means a smaller remittance — no form to file, no phone call, no discretion on our side. It is how the plumbing works.
- 03
No personal guarantee for business performance
You are never personally liable because the business slowed down. Personal recourse exists only for fraud, misrepresentation, or deliberately routing card volume away to avoid remitting.
- 04
The dollars, before you sign — wherever you are
Wherever you are: the dollars you receive, the dollars you deliver, and the difference between them — before you sign. Where your state prescribes its own disclosure form, you get that too.
- 05
Every charge is in the agreement before you sign
Every charge is written in the agreement before you sign. Nothing is added later that wasn't in the document you signed.
- 06
No prepayment penalty
Finishing early never costs you more. The purchased amount is fixed when you sign — paying early doesn't reduce it either. The only additions are the fees listed in your agreement's fee schedule, each one tied to a specific event named there — never to a slow month.
- 07
Our numbers, published quarterly
Once we have meaningful volume, we will publish our loss rate and the average cost merchants actually paid, updated quarterly.
- 08
We never cold-call
No purchased lead lists, no aged leads, no calling businesses in distress. Funding is only ever offered to a merchant who is moving their card processing to us.
- 09
No confession of judgment
Never, in any agreement. Any power of attorney is limited to an actual breach of the purchase agreement, not a bad month.
- 10
We won't be part of a stack
If your business is already carrying other advances, we will tell you — and in almost every case we will decline, and say why. Stacking is how businesses drown, and we won't add weight.
These are our commitments as of 2026-09-02. They apply to every advance Lombard originates. If one ever changes, the change and the reason are published on this page — and if you believe we have fallen short of any of them, tell us in writing, to the contact details in the footer, and a person will respond.
